Solaire Saunas / Our story

From the bathhouse to your home.

Solaire brings together sauna design, project management and hands-on construction. Founded by Kieran O’Leary and Denis O’Leary, we help homeowners plan and build a sauna that fits their home and how they want to use it.

Our experience comes from working on thermal rooms for Bathhouse, AIRE Ancient Baths and Nordic spas. Today, we bring that attention to heat, airflow, materials and construction to custom sauna rooms and to cabins made in Estonia and Lithuania, with white-glove service from the first drawing to the first session.

How Solaire started

Why we started Solaire.

Before Solaire, our work included sauna design, project management and installation for Bathhouse, AIRE Ancient Baths and Nordic spas. We founded Solaire to bring that experience to residential projects, with design and construction planned together from the start.

For homeowners, that means a clear recommendation, a layout to review and a written scope covering the sauna and its installation.

Kieran O’Leary, co-founder of Solaire Saunas

Kieran O’Leary

The whole project, from the first drawing.

A software engineer by trade, Kieran brings a systems approach to sauna design and delivery. As a partner at Workshop GR, he built the company into a multimillion-dollar business and served as lead project manager, connecting design, procurement and construction.

His work included design contributions to Bathhouse Atlantic Avenue’s infrared and event saunas; Bathhouse Philadelphia’s steam room, infrared and event saunas; sauna work for AIRE Ancient Baths; and outdoor saunas for Nordic spas.

At Solaire, Kieran leads project development and design coordination, helping clients choose the right sauna, establish the scope and work through the details. He built the designer we draw every room in, so you see yours in 3D, with plans and elevations, before anything is ordered.

He trained in Aufguss with Martijn Vanhoorelbeke, four-time Belgian Aufguss champion and two-time World Championship finalist.

Denis Patrick O’Leary

From site conditions to the final installation.

Denis brings a background in general contracting and residential construction, including his work as a partner at O’Home Customs. His sauna installation experience includes projects for Bathhouse and AIRE Ancient Baths.

At Solaire, he leads technical planning and field execution: reviewing site conditions, developing installation plans and coordinating the trades, manufacturers and installation partners involved in each project.

His focus is the connection between the drawing and the finished sauna—access, utilities, ventilation, waterproofing and the surrounding construction, resolved together.

For your home

A considered design. A clear plan to build it.

We start with your space, how you want to use the sauna and what the property can support. Then we work through the cabin or room design, heater, materials, site preparation and installation scope. You receive a written quote with the responsibilities and next steps set out before you order.

Planning a larger wellness space? We can also help source cold plunges, hot tubs and steam-room equipment, with supply and installation responsibilities set out in your quote.

We work with homeowners, architects and builders across the Jersey Shore and Long Island, including the North Shore, Hamptons and Montauk. Installation is coordinated with independent crews and trade partners.
