A kit may arrive as several packages or a crated pallet. A factory-assembled cabin can need a different vehicle or lifting plan. Ask for package dimensions, weight, unloading requirements and the delivery service included in the quote. Use the shipping configuration, not just the assembled product's dimensions.
Confirm whether the service ends at the curb, driveway or another agreed point. Do not assume the driver will carry parts through the house or move a cabin into the yard.
Check the route and the handoff.
Send photos of the street approach and the full route to the proposed location. Note restrictions before freight is booked.
- Truck access, parking restrictions and an agreed unloading point.
- Gate widths, stairs, corners, slopes and overhead obstructions.
- Who supplies any lift, crane, carrying crew or assembly labor.
- A dry, secure storage location if installation follows later.
- Who receives the shipment and records damage or missing parts under the delivery terms.
Prepare the base for the selected model.
The base or floor must suit the sauna, its support points and the site. Confirm the model's foundation instructions, total loads and drainage needs with the appropriate installer or design professional. There is no single slab thickness or support detail that covers every product.
For an indoor room, check floor condition, moisture exposure and the specified ventilation. For an outdoor cabin, review grade, water runoff and the manufacturer-approved weather detailing before assembly. Keep required ventilation openings and service access clear.
Separate the schedule into stages.
Record product availability, dispatch, transit, delivery appointment, assembly and final connections separately. An estimated dispatch date is not an installed completion date. Confirm that the base, access and required trades are ready before agreeing to the delivery window.
For coastal sites, describe the exposure and location in your inquiry. The enclosure finish, hardware and maintenance plan need to suit the selected product and property; a regional label alone does not establish the right specification.
